URL: www.firstmethodistmansfield.org
Size: 801-2000 seats
Description:
The Digital Worship team at First Methodist Mansfield lead by Creative Director Brian Certain has risen their game in the past 3 years to now serve 12 services every week along with countless special services and productions as well as weekly practices
The team is made up at Brian Certain, Matt Reid, Raymond Trietsch, Travis Jordan, Jimbob Brown and Beau Smith. The entire team is made up of this part time staff and 15 volunteers who continue to make worship happen every week. They are truly the men and women behind the curtain.
The team is responsible for helping to create multiple worship settings in the 4 worship spaces that we have on our campus. Due to the expertise that the team brings to the church, they are able to “in house” most all of our AV needs including the installation of new systems, upgrades to existing systems and of course maintenance on all of the equipment. They use ProPresenter as their worship software and Planning Center Online to plan our 12 of our worship services. The team works with 5 Pastors and 6 Worship leaders and their bands and worship teams every week. A typical Sunday morning includes services at 8:15 (Traditional) 9:30 (Contemporary) and 11:00 (Traditional with full orchestra and choir). All of this is in the same worship space. They also support three other concurrent services at 11:00 in our three other worship spaces on the same campus.
Through the use of sound, lights, video, graphic projection, camera work, environmental projection, display of song lyrics and sermon points, the Digital Worship team shows their incredible commitment to teamwork and communication to make all 12 services happen seamlessly. They show every weekend that there is no detail too small to make perfect. Their servant hearts are witnessed every week by our church family.
The team is always looking for new and innovative ways to create new and engaging worship experiences for our growing and diverse church. In the last 2 years they have introduced several new worship elements to our church that are now considered to just “be a part of what we do”. These elements include environmental projection, the use of double and triple wide screens, creative lighting techniques, the use of iPads as music stands and confidence monitors and new creative camera positions which help to engage our church family.
