Elevation Church in Charlotte is one of the fastest growing churches in the nation using a multi-site strategy. The Blakeney campus is a 2-story 35,000 gross SF building within the Blakeney Professional Office Park with an exterior appearance to match the other buildings in the park. The design strategy utilizes shared parking within the medical office development and maintains a conventional office structural grid while removing 12,000 sq. ft. of the second floor slab to house the stadium seating for the Worship Center.

The design has planned for the potential for full medical and/or professional office conversion. The building houses a 1,050 stadium seating performing arts venue, a 3,000 SF stage area, an Audio/Video production suite, two 1,500 SF children’s theaters, a central lobby, infant through 5th grade classrooms, a single elevator, a monumental stair and one egress stair.

The facility is a great example of a church in a mixed-use development where the building does not look like a church, but blends in with the surrounding buildings. Elevation Blakeney is a state-of-the art performance center located in the heart of South Charlotte, and is becoming the new cultural hub of the rapidly expanding Blakeney area.  The 1,050-seat complex was built for weekend worship experiences AND is specifically designed to be a fully functional arts and media center available to the public during the week.
