The State of Digital Audio Transport
There are a number of protocols available today to transport digital audio – Cobranet, EtherSound, A-Net, MLAN – to name a few. This presentation will provide an overview of these and other protocols. Comparisons will be made in terms of channel count, latency, resolution and sampling rates, and network type and bandwidth. Network interfacing and compatibility between manufacturers will also be discussed.

Ongoing cost-of-ownership including maintenance, expendables and other operational cost forecasting will also be discussed. Finally, suggestions will be provided on how to work within your Budget to ensure your numbers are appropriate for the size, scale and scope of your project.
